6.4.9 PH 09 - Stiffening rib construction 

• Construction of the stiffening rib starting, strictly symmetrically, from both of the arch springers.
• Stiffening rib should be linked to good adjacent masonry of the abutment with stair shaped profile.

6.4.10 PH 10 - Abutment and bridge fill

• Filling of abutment dismantled area, next to the stiffening rib.
• Filling of bridge lower area until the arch reins (about).
• Bridge fill should follow the stiffening rib erection and should be stopped when voids are foreseen.
